Vacumn line routing?

Ok....well, I am ready to finish my install now and I have some questions regarding vacumn line routing....what goes where?

First off, I am installing a Microtech LT8 into my S5 TII. I have blocked off everything that is not needed pretty much...BAC, OMP, Split Air, Double Throttle, ACV, etc....I am trying to get my car put back together now and I have been on here searching for the good part of the past hour and have yet to find my answer.

The vacumn nipple between the oil injectors on the LIM.....it goes where? Do I cap it off? Does it do something?

Also...the vacumn line on the firewall side of the LIM right at the secondary injector area....where does it go?

I have the two nipples between the secondary injectors looped together because that is how it was when I took it all apart. But those other lines went into the rat's nest which I no longer have. I have the angled nipple on the LIM going to the FPR...and I know that the bottom vacumn nipple of the three on the UIM is my boost source for my MAP sensor in the Microtech. The other two are to be capped off from what I read.

How many vacumn lines total will I have? If anyone who knows how to install a LT8 is reading this and can help, please do....I would love to see my car running again tomorrow night.

Where should I get my vacumn/boost source for my Greddy BOV? I have bypassed the TB for coolant flow and I just looped the line from the block to the back of the water pump.

Please feel free to tell me where every vacumn line goes since I am sure others want to know as well.

Thanks,
Scott

The ECU is supposed to have its own vac source with no interruptions, Crusader uses the same nipple that I am using. The BOV can be split into the line for your aftermarket boost gauge, if equipped, at the nipple on the UIM that faces the passenger fenderwell. It's the same line that used to go to the stock boost sensor, stock BOV, etc.

I only have 4 vac lines on 3 nipples on the UIM/LIM. One line for the FPR to the LIM nipple, one line for the ECU to the front bottom nipple on the UIM, and my Apex'i boost gauge and HKS BOV share the nipple on the LIM that faces the passenger fenderwell.

"Also...the vacumn line on the firewall side of the LIM right at the secondary injector area....where does it go? "
I'm not really sure which nipple this is...but if it's a big nipple, I have mine capped. I don't know if the S4's are the same, though. I have yet to do an install on an S5, so I can't tell you for sure.

This can be capped.

cap em all. if your taking off that useless mess of emissions crap. all you need is oil injector stuff, signal to the MT, bov, and boost controller stuff.Vaccum is vaccum, except there are certain parts where it can be pulsey lower on the runners. Use the ones closest to the trottle body.

don't cap off both, the line on the oil fill neck, and the nipple on the block, at the base of the oil filter. This could make your car smoke.

I'd like to know how you would Install a Catch can to a s5 II. Like the way the Purge Valve fits In? Currently, these are the last lines to be fitted In. http://www.1300cc.com/wiring/beforevac.jpg

I don't have my catch can set up like that. I have both vents, top of the block and the filler neck, run to it and have experienced no problems.

Currently, I have a line that loops Into a U from the top, front nipple on the UIM to the 2nd nipple. The bottom one Is reserved for the LT8's vacuum source.

As for the filler neck, I'm using the nipple, found at the base of the filler neck to go right to the Charcoal Canister. The other nipple (found at the Oil Filler Cap) - Is this what you are referring to tapping Into the Catch Can?

It doesn't matter which one you cap, you just can't cap them both...
