tuning when cold out

Ok I tried to start my damn car but it wont start. the microtech reads 0 celsius air temp. I tried unflooding procedure and nothing. I took out my plugs, cranked to get the gas out, and cleaned/put the plugs back in. still cant get her to start. The crank values i kept from the base map since i have stock primaries. and the af_ste is stock also @ +8%. at those settings the injectors during crank are like 12ms. Should it be that high?
Anyone else have tips for "cold" tuning the car?

btw this happens even when its not that cold out. but if I throttle it at just the right moment, I can rev her out until she idles on its own.

ok this really sucks. My car won't start in the cold anymore. what should injector MS be during start up? and what should the water temp/crank maps look like in cold temps? It is set to stock right now due to the fact I have stock primaries.

so there was lots of gas in the chambers?

reduce your crank and water settings at 0deg, you will probably want about 45-50% in the water, keep reducing the crank until it fires up nicley,

another trick is to put a set of hot plugs in it until you get it sorted, i usually use NGK B7em for cold starting when crank and water settings are not right,

yea everytime I want to start i gotta pull the plugs, crank out the gas, and clean the plugs a little bit. I am getting low 10 AFR's under boost, and I'm thinking that could be fouling out my plugs prematurely. (the plugs are not even a month old with less than 500 miles on them). Anyway I'll try adjust the crank/water settings. One more question: should the injector st (or ms) before cranking be in the red part: 12.14 ms. I tried messing with the af_ste setting and it seems to be directly related to the injector ms before start. any other info is greatly appreciated. thanks!

12ms before cranking when cold? thats your problem your injectors are wide open... im sure that would cause hard starting and foul your plugs, low 10's af under boost is fine u want 10-11.5.

Adjust your water temp settings, and that should help you

had the same problem last week been starting no problems but that was when I had intake temps at 20c but last week intake temps were -2c and injectors at 12.14ms when cranking.

from what has been said this seems way too much !

I will change this at the weekend and see if it starts !

REXRYDER - have you changed your settings and if so did it work ???

yes in the options screen where you change the mixtrim theres the af ste option or some **** like that, and I turned the % down like 5-8 points and that has direct relation to the injector MS during crank up.

I lowered the settings on the water temp and crank maps. just go out when its cold and look at what temps the Microtech is telling you then lower the fuel at those temps. if you are on the stock map then you need to lower it hella. start out with 5-8 points tho first, then smooth out the graphs n ****.

so if you change the opttrim it will change the 12.14st injector opening time? My car has the exact same problem and keeps flooding out. Should I keep leaning it out?
