problems under boost?

Hey guys whats up, I have a 1987 TurboII modded all the way out pretty much but a ignition amplifier. My problem is drive the car for 10-20 minutes 3rd gear 2500rpm go for 50% throttle to pass poeple it seems like it gets loaded up, but if its above 3500rpms and you throttle it boost shoots straight to 10psi and has all of its power. If you throttle it 3000rpm or below it just seems to get loaded up like its to much fuel or the plugs arnt firing.

What are your A/F ratios? Do you have black smoke out of the exhaust.

It does sound like you are adjusted too rich but I don't want to tell you to lean it out without knowing that you can do so safely.

Thats what I was thinking, I just ordered a PFC for my fd and I will be getting a wideband so I will be checking my a/f on the FC I'll datalog it and see if it needs some improvement then I guess i'll order a laptop adapter and tune the a/f's if needed.

If you have not tuned anything, that's the problem. The base map is just there to get the car started.

likely an issue with standard maps, you can richen up the 15"hg-0"hg range to clear it out or you can tune it out in matrix mode by richening up just the 3000-4000RPM ranges. the issue is that the 15-5"hg range affects idle to an extent and also cruising so it is a compromise between gas mileage or smoothness which can only be tuned out in matrix mode.

i have dealt with the same issue but i preferred to live with it for now since living with it nets over 20MPG highway, i just haven't had the time to set up the laptop and get the car on the dyno to tune it out once and for all.

you could also try increasing the staging values, this may help.
