Microtech normal to matrix?
normal to matrix?
recently i dont a coarse tuning on the normal mode and the afr for idle is always around 12.50 to 13.0 and cruising 13 ish . not getting into tuning wot yet cause still breaking in the clutch.
then today i went on to fine tune the idle and cruising afr and i switched to matrix mode.
the car ran beautifully with nice transition from idle to off idle. with idle afr around 13 to 13.5 ish.....
but when i switch back to normal mode , the car just wont idle , i idles for 2 seconds with afr around 14.50 and hovering to 15 then dies.....
anyone knows why?

Matrix mode allows for a fine tunning at any given RPM and Vacuum (or boost).
Normal is a general map.
Idle is independant from from the rest of the map. The setting for idle should be very close in either mode (if not the same).
There are many factor that can affect your fuel map (i.e. temperature).
If the car is dying in when idleing in "normal" mode and you have afr's 14.5-15, you need to add more gas (assuming everything else is OK (i.e. no leaks, timing).
I have enjoyed working in the "matrix" mode more than I did in "Normal" mode.
