ive been told i can use the boost control function on LT10 using a solenoid and my external gate??

can i get some advice on:

is the boost control function worth using
how well does the boost control function works
what i need to do to set it up and get it working
& any other tips you think would help me....

im interested in doing the same with an ltx8 using aux output tried once and didnt work guessing it needs a pulse width signal any one able to help
