Replace all the cheap, outdated Mazda stock connectors with new WeatherPack connectors. GM/Ford style, available at any auto parts store. Don't waste time hacking apart the old harness.

kool, yea i plan on getting all new plastic clip/plugs to install on my lt8. Why do it half assed you know. So did the new plugs have the plastic only or did they also have the right metal pins/ insert clip deals? I plan to solder and heat shrink EVERYTHING so i know im not getting a bad/poor connection.

the next install issue will be a good location to mount the box in my 83

Some kits come with everything, and with some you need to buy each side and the pins seperately.
