Microtech cranking ms

I seem to be having a hard time starting my car hot or cold. Originally the screen was readint a 12.14ms while I was cranking, so I turned down the AFste, and the crank map a bit so I wasn't maxing them out, but I was wondering on what kind of a target I should be shooting for. It's really embarrassing when I stop at the pump to fuel up and get all these stares, when she won't start back up for a while. I would really appreciate any help I could get with this one. I think I'm somewhere around 9 ms now, but don't know if it's enough fuel, or too much. Thanks in advance.

Wow. I kept flooding my car with 12.14 ms. I think that's max on the Microtech. I know the injector stage at 99 affects the load and idle maps, but don't know if it affects the crank map at all. I won't think so as it's expressed as a percentage. Can anyone else post what their crank maps are set to???? By the way I'm located in Central Maine, Waterville/Clinton area. Check out our website at http://www.evo-imports.com. You should sign in and keep in touch, we could get together sometime. My club is planning a trip to NH this summer with all our cars. We've got 2 RX's that'll be there.

12.14ms for cranking is high especially when the engine is warm, Check your coolant temp settings and make sure everything correspondes. The process of setting up your Crank setting and your Temp settings are time consuming cause you have to let the car cool then warm then cool them warm.... etc

Set you crank and temp settings to the right setting and you should be good.

I've got my crank maps set to -10 % now for most of my temp ranges. It now seems to be starting better, but I'm not sure why my crank ms is still around 10ms. I would think that -10 % would make it much lower, as in remove fuel while cranking, not add it. Once the car fires, it idles around 3 - 3.5ms. Isn't this abnormal. I also have the large 1600 secondaries and my staging is set at 99%. I don't know. I'll keep playing with it, it's just getting real frustrating.

my crank times are stock, so should be in range of 12ms as well.

I run 550prim and 1000 sec injectors with %stage set to 91. I have 1.05 ms set for idle in the fuel map.

What AFR do you read at ide? What engine- modifications do you have? Is your engine heavy- ported, like a big bridge port or so?

My car idles with an AFR of around 12.6-13.0. I have a decent street port, idles around 1000 rpm. Other than other bolt ons, the only engine mods are the street port (intake and exhaust), and the higher flow oil pump.
