member can you help?

you once said you had a car with a t66 on it,i know this is a big ask but im trying to find a map suitable to get my car running its a series 5 13b streetport 720 primaries and 1000cc secondaries 15psi wastegate spring running on 95 pump gas, would you be able to help me with something to get my car running safely untill i can find someone to tune it,alternatively someone mentioned that microtech themselves may be able to help, any chance you would know if this is the case. thanks in advance jarrod

i dont have any maps for that any more, it was a few years back now and i had a custom LTX12 on it with 6 injectors,

my advice is get a smaller waste gate spring, something around 9psi and bleed it up from there

if you have a good intercooler etc you will make around 550hp (flywheel) on 14psi with a 1.32 exhaust housing, any smaller and you will choke the motor in the top end.

towards the end of that stage on my car we were running pretty close to max duty on the injectors at summer nats with 20psi boost, 2x550 and 4x1200cc injectors so your 720's and 1000's will probably be close to being maxed out at 15-16psi if you rev it to 8000rpm,

on 14psi with 2x550 and 2x1200cc i was maxing out at 7000rpm,

imho the T66 is the best street turbo you can buy

thanks dale

i appreciate the advise from someone with real world experience, i can use a 10psi wastegate spring no problem as im using a 48mm turbosmart progate and it comes with a 10psi spring. i thought about using 1600cc secondaries but shied away after reading all the horror stories of people trying to stage them succsefully, do you think 1200cc secondaries may be a better option? i just cant find any one in nz that sells them i can only get 1000's or 1600's. any chance you have some 1200's i could buy from you, not worried if they are new or used im only across the ditch and could pay either direct into your account or by paypal thanks jarrod

i would put the 1000's in the primarys and fit the 1600's to the secondarys,

getting 550/1600 stage can be done quite easily, you just have to spend the time to tune it correctly,
