LT8 installed, 3rd GEN LT in FC
I posted a while back about the fact that I bought my LT8 from RP here in Texas. They had ordered it for a 3rd gen and I went ahead and bought it. I installed it and everything shows to work.
I just used the FC wiring diagram and installed it accordingly.
I started the car and it idled. All sensors checked out. I just have to redo my intercooler pipeing redone and the project is done.
Now, everyone said it wouldn't work. I was just wondering what was supposed to happen. The car appears to run pretty good. The TPS worked fine as did the coil operations.
I think the CAS was supposed to be a problem or something like that.

IIRC, the number of reference teeth on the FD's crank trigger is half the number of teeth on the FC's CAS. I would keep a light on the car at all times until you can verify that everything's kosher. If it is, let us all know!

Chris at RP said he wasn't worried about the CAS but about the coils and such.
He said the 3rd gen was 24 and 2 and the 2nd was 12 and 1. Basically the same thing. Once just turned twice as fast but with two triggers per rotation compared to 1. But all in all they still happened at the same time.
But I will play more in a day or two and get the facts.
This LT8 interface looks great. Really easy to use and understand considering how much stuff there is to configure.
