Microtech lt10s with x4 and cdi ignition
lt10s with x4 and cdi ignition
can i run my lt10s with the x4 box and a cdi unit at the same time , or do i need to remove the x4 box and use the gray ignition wires from the lt10 and hook them directly to the cdi box.
How do i wired them together, do u use the wires that come out of the x4 to the cdi, and do i need to change any settings on the lt10 like spark mode, firing and dwell, any other info, gracias pay
actually I've been looking into this because it's not very clear anywhere on the internet. I've found this link here (http://www.microtechefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31) from microtech that says if using a cdi box you usually don't want to use the x4 box because it turns the negative trigger into a possitive trigger and most cdi boxes work best off of negative trigger. They say just to pull the x4 box and set your dwell to 0.00. This is how I'm going to setup my ignition because I was noticing breakup at higher rpm with the hi-6 and x4 box. I'll also be going away from the lx92's on the trailing because I found the lx92's don't like to work right without a cdi on them.

did you have 4 lx92 coils? It looks like everything I've been reading about says the lx92 coils are cdi coils and if you plug the trailing up to the x4 without a cdi box it will kill the x4 box. I read in another post how big possitive wires you make for the coils so I'm going to do that because I know mine aren't that big. Also I'm gonna get some magnacore r100 or r80 wires. It's good knowing your still on the hear! Thanks for the help again.
