fuel pump relay
I've been searching periodically for the last few weeks and haven't really found anything that helps. I installed an lt-8 and got the car to start but the pump would die once started. I read a few threads about the circuit opening relay and how installing a regular automotive relay will basically over ride it. After installing the relay I dont get anything from the pump, or can get the pump to run but the car wont start. I would jumper it and be done with it but the new harness I have is terminated for the microtech and doesnt have the passenger strut tower plug that would be used to jumper the circuit opening relay. Am I missing something or how can I get the pump to run without dying once started?

The diagram that came with the Microtech will show you the circuit for the fuel pump relay. The only one I have handy on line is in my Megasquirt writeup, but the circuit is the same:

You'll see that one side of the coil connects to switched 12V from your main relay. The other side goes to the fuel pump wire on the Microtech. Then the pump connects through the contacts of the relay to a fused 12V source.
