Microtech lock program

lock program

This ECU was program by someone, Can you lock a program at a LTX-12? I try to connect with a computer and I connect but I can not get the maps or any other parameter. Can someone help me?

they lock it so no one copys the programs.Id like to know myself if it can be unlocked.

There are two types of locks that I know of....one basically just locks the program button which doesn't let you change anything but you can still see the data screens. The other is an ECU lock which prevents the car from even starting. When you first click on the microtech it will show if it is "locked on" which means you have to enter the pin number to unlock it.

I am currently trying to find out whether or not the pins are the same from the factory and how you can change them if you can. I know a few people that asked me this before and they ended up having to send it back to Microtech and it costs $80 to unlock. Hopefully they will give some info on this and I will let you know what I find out.

send it back to microtech and get it unlocked. map will remain untouched.
