how does it work?

im helping my friend install the m-tech and ran into a brick wall. how does teh ecu get power? we're not getting a green light from it. then again we cant crank the engine yet (starter blew).

what im asking is, suppose that we did the wiring correct, should the m-tech turn on when the key is on or only when ignition on

you should have the green light on when you turn ignition on
in the big connector there is a black and red wires these are your power supply.

Black and red directly to the battery, fused.

Then make sure your pink wire in the main harness is seeing power when the ignition is on. With the power wires and the pink seeing +12v you should get a green light atleast.
