How accurate is A/F ratio on DASH unit?

i want to know how accurate the air/fuel mixture reading in when its displayed on the DASH unit?

The dash unit is not what determine's how accurate the A/F reading is... if I'm understanding you correctly.

If you have a wideband with a narrow band output i would imagine it would be pretty acurate. But if its just connected to a narrow band O2 sensor then its far from accurate from a tuning standpoint.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from my limited reading, the narrowband is accurate at stoich (14.7), but stray too far from that, and accuracy is... well not nonexistent, but far from ideal for tuning. And if you're running a boosted motor, I wouldn't even think of not running a wideband sensor (imo).
