Hot Start Issue

I think my issue is really simple to fix I just haven't figured out which setting it is yet and thought maybe you guys might think of one for me to tweak.

Whenever I freeway drive the car for about an hour and the temp is a steady 185 to 190 F water temp and shut off the car. Then come back say an hour later or whatever and try to start it, the car sputters and wont keep an idle (and backfires) unless I gas it out of the parking stall and drive it for say 10 seconds. After that 10 seconds it runs fine....

What are your IAT temps while this is happening, and AFRs? You may need more or less fuel at the high end of the air temp scale.

Really though, the way to avoid this is an idle valve. With a heat soaked manifold, there is only so much you can do by adding and subtracting fuel/timing.

My afrs will bounce from normal 13's and then just go lean real quick and die. Unless I give it a 3 grand rev and drive it for a second. What is this idle valve you are talking about? I think I will have to get one to simply fix whatever is going on

Sadly, you can only run a BAC valve if your Microtech already supports it. And if you have an LT8(s), don't assume that you can have the ECU configured for BAC support. I think the LT10 and newer come with it already included.

It sounds as if the car is stalling as soon as the afterstart enrichment stops. Try increasing afterstart enrichment a little, and give it a bit more fuel in the very hot area of of the air temp map.

Okay I will give those adjustments a shot. I have the lt10s but most likely not have this feature installed as usual. How do I check if it is installed?

Connect up a BAC to the aux output and see if it works by using the idle air function I'd guess.
