Their should be a fuse but because their is not set way of installing the microtech the fuse could be anywere in the car. Its stupid but yeh.

We need to figure out exactly which wire is the one that has cooked.

You need to go to your microtech loom. Unplug it from the microtech.

Their are 3 ways we need to pay attention to.

RED, PINK, BROWN..

Get yourself a testlight or multimeter.

Check that at all times their is 12V to the RED WIRE.
THen Check that on ignition/reds their is 12V to the PINK wire.

Next. Get your multimeter, put it on continuity mode(were it beeps when you touch the probes together, place one probe on a good earth(for e.g ignition barrel centre), and put the other probe on the brown wire, it should beep.

Then post here telling us which one didnt work if any etc.

I'll get on that as soon as I get home. To prepare for the worst case senario, is there a chance that the unit itself is damaged and if so is there a power supply inside the unit that can be replacable or would this require a entirely new unit?

Thanks for your help..RX72c

Depends what you have damaged in side this unit. Put it this way. Its very rare that i have seen a unit damaged like the above. they are very tuff, if you have cooked one youve tried really hard.

Well.. I tested the wires as you suggested... and within 10 minutes I had isolated the faulty wire... and GRATEFULLY tracked it back throught the firewall to a inline fuse... (by the way I bought the car with the LT installed... Thanks for all your help... and thank God for 15 amp FUSES.. Only issue now is that my battery wont hold much of a charge...
