Datalogging Wideband with MT Software

Awlright, so from what research I've done in this forum I've come to the conclussion that my LT8s will NOT read a normal 0-5v or linear 0-1v signal from my friends LM-1. I suppose it's because the LT8s is expecting to see a narrowband sensor on it's O2 input wire and it has something to do with the drastic curve that narrowband sensors put out. So, I was staring at the LM-1's output setup screens and it kind of dawned on me: setup one of the outputs to look like a narrowband, but shift it down. Basically instead of the switch being ~14.7 afr, have it be ~12.0. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but by doing it this way anything in the MT datalog that is >12.0 AFR will show up as "lean" and anything <12.0 afr will be rich. I feel this is useful enough to use to tune a map from a datalog. Obviously only very small fuel corrections should be made each time, but that's just common sense. The 12.0 afr is what I want to aim for for under full load, heavy boost. The number could be changed depending on what you're tuning for, i.e. cruise, light load, etc. The actual numbers I have in there right now are as follows:
1.099v at AFR 11.91
0.103v at AFR 12.01
So, comments? Suggestions? Am I overlooking something simple? Did somebody already figure all this out and I'm just out of the loop? Either way, I'm going to give it a shot and see how it goes. It's gonna be a late night tonight!

I was also wondering if you can set up the microtech (I also have an LT8S and an LM-1, the car just isnt nearly together yet so I havent bothered screwing around with the electronics) just to read the voltages. If I can datalog the 0-5v voltages, that is just as good to me as the actual AFR's...

The MT will not datalog 0-5v or 1-0v for that matter...at least not correctly. That's why I came up with my idea.

What do you mean by "work with the microtech?" I have no experience with the PLX's, but I assume they can output a standard 0-5v signal. If that's all they can do though, and don't have a configureable output like the Innovates, then no...you will not be able to use my idea the same way.

lol, I just skimmed over the PLX Devices site and damn, that R-500 is BAD!! If you're going to get an R-500 then just datalog with it and tune the MT from that log. My problem is that in order to make the LM-1 datalog anything besides just AFR, I would have to buy a $100 cable.
