Data Gages, Mainly AFR operation

Hi All
I have a LT-8 unit powered up through a wall plug transformer sitting in the night stand draw. I hook up my lap top certain nights and play with it. In this way when I install it in my car I will not be scratching my head to much . So at this point is there any way to tell if the LT-8 that I have will give me AFR real time and data logging of it? The data gage window has the AFR box with 18.0 showing in it. This unit came to me second hand so I do not know if it was ordered with the function to do this. I do have a LC-1 with a wide band lambda sensor to hook up to the black /red wire as shown in the electrical drawing for the LT-8.

Your wisdom in this area would be greatly appreciated

Best Regards

Just to add

I can all so check off the box in the data logger program hit start and shows a flat purple line. Would this mean any thing or do all of them do the same.
Thanks Again
