Microtech Air Temp. Sensor Problem !!

Air Temp. Sensor Problem !!

I think my Air inlet temp. sensor ( under the upper manifold) was working, not sure.. but now it is only reading -30C !!! the wires are connected.


Can some one help me with this problem ???

30C is about where it should be with the engine running, if it was faulty iirc the reading would be 0C, had an issue like that with the coolant temp sensor.

well, I am trying to change my air temp sensor but the dealer don't have it anymore... I have heard the the GM sensor should work !!

anybody know the part number or any info about what air sensor i should get ??

You cannot use *any* air temp sensor with the Microtech. You must use what the unit was programmed for. If it's an FD , an FD air sensor and if it's an FC , an FC air senor. The resistance is waay different between the two.
You have to use the same CAS, water temp and air temp sensor

Damn... the FD sensors are expensive i though i might save some money.. !!

Oo another thing.. could my Microtech be falty and thats why it is only reading -30C.. ???????????
Could someone tell me the posiblities why it is always reading - Negative degree??
