Wide Band O2

Hey guys, I just got my LC-1 wideband day before yesterday. I`m wondering if the new sensor will fit the bung for the stock sensor or will I need to install the new bung to get the new sensor installed?

The stock bung should work just fine. Any O2 sensors I've experienced have had the same thread pitch/size.

I've got the LC-1 and it works fine with the factory bung, remember to go into LM Programmer and change the options for the output your using 0v = 10:1 AFR and 5v = 20:1 AFR in addition change the resolution to 1/12 (many of us have found MS receives a more stable signal this way)

Thanks all for the response. Question, when you refer to "LM Programmer are you refering to the software that came with the LC-1 or are you refering to the digital controller. Here is exactly what I bought.

do I neeed something more than this or will this wire into my MS directly?

this will wire in directly, just make sure you wire in the reference ground to the MS as well.

Thanks Ken, i`m already sleeping on the couch due to the amount of $ I`ve spent lately, any more and I`ll be sleeping with one eye open as well

I put one of my "extra" computers(not a laptop) in my garage and got everything connected and started the car with the latest .msq. I`ve got her idling once she is warmed up but anywhere off idle you must keep the throttle moving or it will rev to the point where you are holding it then stumble badly and die. I also noticed that the reading from the stock narrow band O2 is all over the place when stepping on the gas or letting off.
i`m gonna try to get the wideband installed this week, time permitting. Is there a wiring diagram that shows what wires go where between the LC1 and the MS?

Sirsignus: turbo is the same, Im running turbo with mine and my bung is about 3 inches back from the turbo on the downpipe.

david: LM programmer is in the tools section of the Logworks2 program that came with your wideband. As for wiring, its either the orange (output1) or brown (output2) that go to the MS double check for certain since im color blind and going off memory from a few weeks ago

I was wondering the same thing. Unless his bung is relocated as in aftermarket DP/Headers. I was under the impression that the sensor deteriorates rather quickly with the rotary engines' exhaust temps.
I'd sure like to know too as I will be ordering an LC-1 soon as my finances would allow.
BTW, Where's the lowest priced LC-1 to be found at?

you can get the heatsink bung extender with the LC1 if you're worried about exhaust temps. It's a bit pricy though ($80)

Hey, just a quick question for anyone . Can I connect my LC-1 to the same swiched power supply that my Megasquirt is connected to, or is there another location that anyone can suggest?
