So I was haveing a time of general confusion about some of the connections to a MS V2.2 board from the error daughter board, plus some concern about the board in general. First, when connecting ground from the CAS G- and Ne- to the error board some people are just grounding to the harness? or do you bring the ground from the CAS back to the VR- for 1 and 2? Finally I want to do boost and fan control, but i was reading on the MSExtra forum that these transistors are not layed out right on the error board, the resolution to this seems fuzzy and i wanted to try and get clarification.

 

Another question, on the expansion board which capacitor and which resistor am i supposed to change out for the VR circuit? Thanks for any help.

 

I don't know what you're talking about for resistor and cap? The ones I think you're talking about should be switched to 39k and .01 uF on the Ne lm1815 circuit.

You should be bringing the NE and G grounds all the way back to the error* board.

 

Thanks for the reply, Yeah those were the components i was speaking of, my difficulty is locating which ones they are on errors board. I am a bit colorblind so distinguishing the board sectors from www.glensgarage.com/extra is difficult for me. Any help there would be great.

 

Also, where do i pull +5 volt from for the pull-up resistors, the pictures in the FAQ are gone and i cant recall. I measured ~6v at the nearby resistors, would this be an appropriate place? Thanks in advance.

Your V2.2 board is a whole diffrent animal.

I have the same problem with that extra board from glens garage.

There is no diagram other than that color chart and pdf file.

If I were you I would go to Radio Shack and get some of the unprinted board, cut it to fit in the MS case, and just treat it as the proto area on the MS3 board.

This way you know exactilly what you got with room to grow.
