THE TIME HAS COMe... WHO WANTS TO HELP WITH MEGASQUIRT INSTALL :D

well the parts are here. I have been witting for this day since dj55b got his megasquirt installed!
now the time is mine. muhahah..
il see if dj55b cant build it for me before he goes on his 2 week long road trip.
but in the mean time what TPS and or therottle body do you guys use with the 13BTII S5 system? as i think i cant use the one i have now is that correct?
man i think im just as excited as i was when i was digging my rx7 out of the 6' shown banks in march 2003 to try and start her up for the first time.

A s5 tps is full range and if you are using a stock 13bt intake manifold the throttle body bolts right up. So that should be easy. The s4 throttle body is short range. Since you are turbocharged a map sensor should be all you really need anyway. Im using a s4 tps because If im not mistaken the tps sensor isnt going to help to much. But Ken or Arroncake will chime in (i bet) and give you a detailed explination.

The TPS allows you to do acceleration enrichments based on its motions, use the closed-loop idle functions, overrun fuel shutoff, launch control, boost control etc.

You can use any TPS and any throttle body. But logic says that you should use the one that came with your engine.

The S5 TPS is fine to use. It has both a narrow range and full range. The full range is ideal, but the narrow range will also work.

Ignore any weirdness with the TPS and stock ECU. It no longer applies.

Well Martin, I actually figured out the Boost control thing now. So it should be good to go! Well minus the firmware update.

And don't forget the PWM idle valve mod! Guess I don't need to reply to your email about the boost controller.

You know you can just use the stock S5 one as well? I just requires a calibration when you reflash the firmware.

On the front of the water pump housing there is a circular casting between the 3 bolts that used to hold the air pump bracket. It's the perfect spot and you don't have to remove the housing...

well time for an up date, we did not finish the rx7 in time for 7 stock north, so i drive my wife to work and took her toyota to 7 stock.
now that time is on my hands i finished the interior intake is back on all wireing is done and done nice and clean thanks to dj55b.
ended up sending the intake to get taped with 3/8 pipe thread for the GM sensor, but since i sent dj55b to get the job done we got it done for free..... as dj55b bartered his way from 30 down to here's the tap do it your self come back when your done
so that got done wright, once that was all sayed and done we figured we might as well test out the MS, well as it turned out the second vr2 system is not working so we ended up re ordering all the components and having to deal with waiting a week to order an LM1815 as the guy did not want to order just for us... so today i dropped buy his store and offered him 20 more $$ for his 8$ parts (i really really miss my RX7) so he looked at his 6 other order's and toled me i could pay the 8$ shipping he would over night it them so now heres to hoping all works well and that dj55b can fix up me ms for this Friday for the Boston pizza meet. other then that the car looks/ well starting to look like a race car

I MUST ADD!!!
many many thanks to dj55b who put so many hours in cleaning up dual wiring harness to a few wires. and to making me do the job wright the first time
and a big thanks to Aaron cakes expertise with ms testing, info retesting and flasher/wiper box thing he provided and saved up many hours of rewiring my rx7
after an incident with a smoking dash board
