The Stim gets its 5V from the Megasquirt. Does the Megasquirt power on?

Are you using the JimStim? I found when I first used a DC adapter pluged in to the barrel connector, the JimStim didn't power up. I had to wire a jumper on the back of the stim to correct it. Either it was a problem with my Stim or with the design. Fooled me for a bit.

If you have power switched on, the light on the JimStim behind the power switch should light. showing the JimStim has power.

However, if you wired power to the screw terminals marked "+" and "-", and you still have no LED, then something else is wrong. Check your power source.

Flickering light???? dunno about that. Did you test the JimStim by itself before connecting to the MS? If not, try testing it using a 9V battery and see what happens.

The mod I did is circled in yellow. Just add a jumper between the 2 pins on the power connector.

Remember, the Stim passes 12V to the Megasquirt, which then regulates it to 5, and then the Stim is powered via the 5V reference line on the DB37. So the 'Squirt power section must be functioning for the Stim to work.

I see.. The squirt powers on when i plug it into my car n turn the ignition on. But when i try to use the stim it doesnt turn on. I have a Megasquirt Stimulator V2.

When i plug in the dc adaptor the Fidle led flickers. But the 3 Leds on the squirt dont turn on. Are they suppose to turn on when i plug it?
