If it starts, sputters and dies, then it needs more fuel.

Is your fuel pressure correct?

Increase the whole ASE map by 20% as well as the warmup enrichment. You can also increase the amount of cycles on ASE taper to extend the ASE.

I ended up adding a ton of fuel and it started up and ran. I got things idling ok and turned on live tune to let it smooth things out. it adjusted the VE table way down so Im expecting to have to undo everything it did next time I fire things up.

my rpm goes between 0 and whatever rpm Im at (1,000. Googling that now. My e6k did that only it went from the true rpm to something high instead of zero.

Tossed a new set of plugs in, started up surprisingly easy but ran worse than yesterday.
I attached a log and my config file. the logs pretty short, its like the ecu looses connection constantly today.
adjustments I make in the VE table to adjust the afr at all. my wideband says im between 9 and 10 afr. egts are pretty low also.

all in all, a disappointing day.

Heres a composite log. I have intermittent zero's in the trigger column.
will be reading about what that means tonight.

Could this be a ground issue? I grounded the battery a stud I added to the chassis. All megasquirt grounds also go to that lug. I have the engine ground run from that lug to a lug on the firewall that then grounds the engine.

moved all grounds to the battery.
cas wiring isnt bundled with other wiring. its completely routed away from ignition and comes into the car on the passenger side.
The ignition filters on the mega-squirt dont appear to do **** for this cas config, Im worse off than I was with the e6x and wishing I went with a new haltech or adaptronic now.

mental notes
oh my other things was i needed to make sure i wasn't using resistor less sparkplugs. I used to use those a fair bit.
Im going to adjust the cas pickups next I guess, though I doubt there is any improvement to be had there.
All else fails there is a cas mod where you remove 2 teeth. If that fails FFE crank pickup.

The one thing I didn't check over and over....the case. Will pop the cover tomorrow night and make sure I did it right. At a glance I fucked it up, but it's possible I extended the stock wires so the colors I see are off from what's in the cas. Lucky I didn't bust the motor.......seems weird I would have buggered that.

Also the plugs do have resistor's. Rx8 plugs in the leading and briex8's it something like that in the trailing.

Cas was wired wrong. When i pinned the connector everything was one pin clockwise. Working like a champ now

there were a couple funky things with aarons map also. There was a double 800 rpm entry on the ve map. Nothing world ending. I ended up turning all of the cold start crap off. Worked better for me.
