Staged injection table for boost

I've heard table based injector staging is the recommended approach from a few people. After enabling it and setting the injector sizes I realized the table provided only goes up to 100kpa. Am I right in assuming this table would not work for a boosted car? After searching I've not found any examples of a table that exceeded 100kpa in the y axis.

You can just change the scaling on the Y axis.

But, typically you'd want the injectors staged before boost anyway unless you have really large injectors. Last one I tuned I changed the table so that all staging took place between about 90 KPA and 105 KPA above around 3500 RPM. Brought them in at about 20% at 90KPA around 3500RPM with a linear increase in stage as RPMs and KPA increased until they were 100% staged around 105 KPA. Very smooth.

If you have larger primaries or lower duty cycle on the primaries, you can stage later.

Thanks for the reply Aaron

Bare with me here, I've been doing a lot of research lately but there are a couple of basic things I'm unsure about.

For example: Looking at the staging table when I see the top kpa value at 100, what would happen once you exceed 100kpa? seeing as how the table doesn't show boost values(100kpa+), will it in effect have a value of zero above 100kpa and completely cut all fuel, or does the computer follow some sort of calculated projectory off the map into unchargeted territory?

From your reply it sounds like I should set the highest Kpa bin to slightly above my highest boost pressure. much like the VE table. am I understanding you right?

The same question came to mind when setting the kpa values and the rpm values in the VE table. if your VE table was set up for a red line of 7000 rpm and you mistakenly take it to uncharted territory at 8000 rpm. do the ve values zero out past 7000 rpm cutting all the fuel or does it continue its last known VE value?

Thanks again

The value above 100KPA continues to be the value at 100KPA.

Set the highest value in the stage table to the load point at which you expect to be fully staged. After that point, the ECU just continues using the stage value (presumably 100%) at higher loads.

Here's an example of a stage table used on a FC, 13B street port, BNR stage 3, front mount. Note the 460CC primaries.

I don't know where that random "5" came from on the table. It must have been a slip of the keyboard and next time I'm near the car I'll reset it to zero.

Awesome, Thank you for the detailed reply Aaron, you've cleared everything up nicely. Also glad you included an example. Now it's time to tinker.
