Want to start off by thanking everyone that helped in getting me started. Big thanks to aaroncake for the write up.

Im running an ms1 on a v3 board. I followed aaron's write up for all the modifications to the board. I finally finished all the wiring and went to start it and im not getting spark. Ive double checked all the settings in tunerstudio and all seems fine. Ive double checked my wiring and all is good. Im getting a spark when i first turn on the ignition but after that nothing, no led flashing or anything. I connected it to my jimstim and it will only start sparking after 800 rpm.

Is there something im missing in the settings or???? What would cause that?

I can't open that file. It unzipps to a file "currenttune" with no extension that neither TunerStudio nor MegaTune will open.

 

I made a video showing just what its doing. Above 800 rpm it looks like it works flawlessly but under 800 rpm I dont have any response from the spark leds.

So i pulled the megasquirt out of the car and verified all the modifications on it and it all matches up with the writeup.

Here are some pics of it. Tell me if you see anything wrong.




Rpm is working on the jimstim and on the cas. its just not sparking for whatever reason.

 

Are you looking at the trailing toggle LED to determine ignition? If so, MS1 doesn't fire trailing below 900 RPM (or 1000 RPM, I can't remember and it's been a while). Leading still fires.

 

That's what I originally thought but verified I'm not getting spark on either leading plug while cranking. None of the leds don't start flashing until 800 rpm on the stim but when they do it doesn't look right. They don't seem to flash like I think they should. I can take a video when I get home.

 

Alright so i got off work and decided to reflash the firmware to see if that would help. Unfortunately, it did not... Here's a video of what the leds are doing.

 

I was asked to post a datalog on another forum. Figured i would cross post it here as well. Im getting no spark from either coil while cranking.
