Ok I got this pre-built and I have been going back and trying to check every thing out to make sure its right and I came across D2 witch looks to me to be put in back words,,, if it is even suppose to be in there at all ""manual says (D2) is needed only if the ignition system has a large offset bias” what ever large offset bias means,, and looking at some of the pics on this forum of other msv3 it looks to be wrong or not to be used at all (jumped or bridged)?Also today I assembled a stim v2.1 to play around with it some and see what happens intake air seams fine,o2 seams fine,tps seams fine, coolant seams fine, fuel pump flashes when I can get the rpm to signal (witch is hard to do) how ever the 3 leds on the megasquirt it's self stay sold (light on) all the time is this wrong or is it because of the pull up resistor set up thing? Any ways take a look at the pic and tell me what u think

Reply 14 in the above post has a CLEAR photo of the MS1 V3.0 with all components except the pullup resistors. As you can see D2 is not installed as well as several other components. This MS will be used on a T2 with a modded CAS.

So from read the maunal again and again i guess it means that u CAN install both (or one or the other) step 50 (eather 50a or 50b) and install the vr step 51 and use the jumpers to set up witch one u use,, so from what i can tell mine is set up For triggering off the coil negative terminal/points and is jumped for using the VR circuit not the negative coil triggering witch i guess would be used on a fuel only ms set up!

Any ways i still would like to know what they mean buy a ""large offset bias"" and if the 3 lights (led's) on the ms,,should stay sold with the stim hooked up with the pull up resistor set up ?

 

NM the 3 leds being on have to do with software settings!
