FL Questions about MS2

Hey guys, I'm buying a MS2 and harness off my buddy soon and I just had a couple questions.

I read through Aaroncakes guide on his website, and it said not to install it unless the car is in good running order. My car has a pretty bad hesitation when I first get on the gas, runs fine when I really get on it, but under low load it always hesitates. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the chip that's in my stock ecu but not positive. Should I be ok? I was hoping I'd be able to fix the problem with the MS. I've already tried pretty much everything besides replacing the ecu.

Is there anything else I need to buy to make it work? I know I'm going to need a CLT and IAT sensor. I also saw something about the stock CAS not working with the MS?

Sorry about the noob questions, I'm sure this stuff has probably been covered but I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance for any help!

After doing some more research I answered my question about the CAS. I guess I'll have to see if the one I'm getting already has the VR sensor and resisters or if I have to add them.

Still wondering if I'll be okay tuning it from where it's at now not running right though. I don't know much about tuning and electronics so I'm trying to learn.

It depends on what is causing the hesitation. Most likely if it's nothing too bad (low compression or some other really big internal problem) you should be fine, but I can't say for sure.

Actually, you won't need either of those sensors; it'll work fine with the stock ones. The stock CAS works too as long as you build a 2nd trigger circuit (or use one of the boards that's out there to make it).
