Problem with spark cut rev limiter on MS2 1.0.2

I have tried a few times to run a spark cut limiter with no luck. I figured I had something set wrong. While the car is down getting a dedicated MS harness, I put the stim on mine tonight to play around with it. I found that spark cut seems to be working fine, however, spark is only cut on the leading channel, the trailing channel still fires normally.

Is there something in the firmware that prevents rotary mode from having a properly functioning spark cut limiter, or is there something else somewhere else I have to set to get it to cut the trailing coil too?

The trailing code just wasn't written with spark-cut in mind. It doesn't support spark-cut. I'll have to fix that in the 2.0 firmware.

I was hoping to eventually be able to use this feature along with launch control and flat-shift. How is the 2.0 firmware coming along Ken?

It can do launch and revlimiting, just not spark-cut.

I'll fix spark cut for the next beta.

As far as how the beta is going, James just rearranged a bunch of the pages to support using CAN bus with the GPIO board or his automatic transmission controller, so we're going to do one more beta with those changes, and a couple of fixes from me (rotary, closed loop idle speed, etc...). We'll let people use that a bit and test for bugs, I'll be installing it on my own GXL and testing it out there as well... then we'll do a Release Candidate, and finally, assuming that goes OK, we'll release 2.0.

Assuming all goes well, the release should be in 2-4 weeks.

I plan on doing the last beta today once James signs on and takes a look at my latest bug fixes (I don't have any way of testing a couple of them).

In any case, I fixed spark cut rev limiting for rotary trailing by completely turning off trailing once the revlimit is hit. Leading will still follow the normal cut x sparks from y events method, but I couldn't do that easily with trailing without creating a few extra variables... Is that alright with those who want to use it? IF not I can make it work the same as leading, but it seemed a bit pointless to me since only leading is required to keep the engine running.

Cutting trailing completely at limit sounds good to me. Trailing isn't contributing to much anyway IIRC. If we don't like it we can always hunt you down haha. Can you do this for spark cut launch control as well?

The same mechanism for limiting revs is used for revlimiting and spark cut. So by doing it for one I've already done it for the other.
