newr type GM boost solinoide?

Ok now that the car is starting I only have one more electronic device to hook up.
My gm boost solinoide. My ? Is in regards to the diode ineed to run it? can I use the 1n4003 instead of 1n4002?

I would use whatever the manual specifies. It specifies it for a reason.

il have a look once more, i did not find out, as when they shipped it trhey never sent one so i just wanted to make sure
