MN New to rx-7 but not to Megasquirt

Hi everyone! I have a question about MS. I have an MS1 V3.0 that I used on my MX-3 4 cylinder that's set up for wasted spark. If I run a 36-1 wheel on the RX-7 engine, what mods do I need to do to the MS that I have? I know that there are mods to make the stock CAS work with MS, but maybe by using the 36-1 wheel I don't have to do any mods?

If you are currently reading from a 36-1 and have only set up two spark outputs, you are going to need to open up the 'squirt and solder in the remaining pullup resistor on the LEDs (assuming you are running spark out that way on the mx-3).

Building a 2nd vr circuit in the proto area to use a stock cas is a pretty simple setup. Aaroncake has a good layout on his website, I rearranged things a bit to take up less space.

The problem is that the rotary engine has two separate timing curves, trailing and leading. You probably heard of timing split. The MS-1 doesn't support the coding to use a 36-1 wheel for a rotary, the MS-3 does. For the MS-1 to work you need Two separate timing triggers which the stock CAS has and will probably be the easiest to setup. Hope that helps, just throwing in my .02. Also, which RX-7 engine are you using?

Mouser has everything under the sun, and if they don't digikey does.

How about:
http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/megasquirt

All you need to know for MS1 and MS2, most applicable to MS3.

Yeah I have been trying to understand, but I'm more of a picture person. also too much abriviations, it confuses me. I think flight_of_pain has done a good job cleaning up on how to do the the VR mod.
