MSII assembly question

So I'm building my megasquirt, going by Aaroncake's guide. On step 52 I went with the Hall sensor jumper configuration. When I got to the next testing step, 55, I get no RPM signal in Megatune. There is a note about not having RPM signal, but it is only if it is set up for VR, not hall sensor. Everything else works as it should (except the O2, but I haven't set that up yet). Is there something obvious I am missing or did I mess something up in the last few steps?

This is what I'm seeing in Megatune.

As my writeup states, you will only get a signal through the Stim if you have it set to points.

http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/megasq...AndModding.asp :
*As step 50 suggests, install both the hall/coil/optical trigger circuit and the VR trigger circuit in step 51. Follow step 50-b when building the hall/coil/optical circuit so that you can use the Stimulator. We will ultimately only use the VR circuit when the 'Squirt is in the car.
*In step 52, follow the instructions in the blue box to the right to configure the 'Squirt to accept an RPM signal from a coil/points/optical. This is so the Stimulator will still work.
Oh, and you have to jumper across D2 to get a Stim signal through. Since you won't be using this circuit for anything but Stim testing, install a jumper in place of D2.

Got the RPM signal working, I had just neglected the jumper. Been working my way further down the megamanual and Aaroncake's guide.

I have some questions about ignition, I am on step 65. For some details, I am running an MSD 6a on my leading coil and have a Zeal kit going on the megasquirt. Following the steps for the 6A, I am installing the high current ignition driver. However, when I get to step 65d, it tells me to jumper IGBTIN to JS10. The Zeal daughterboard is wired to JS10. Should I go ahead and jumper it there anyway or will it mess things up having both of them there?

The stock ignition wiring on the Megasquirt doesn't matter. I think JS10 is used for another output when the Zeal card is used so don't jumper it to ignition like the Megamanual instructions say.

Having the MSD doesn't change things. It should be connected between the stock ignitor and the coil, and the Megasquirt should be assembled to drive the stock coils via the LEDs.

Just checked my instructions and they indeed mention 65-d:

"While you don't need to, you might as well install the high current ignition driver in step 65. In 65-d, don't bother installing any jumpers. Ignore the note about adding a pullup resistor. "

Ah, I see it now. Don't know how I missed it last night. Thanks Aaron.
