MS2 V3 rpm setup on jimstim

I have a MS2 v3 and pretty sure i have the jimstim setup for wheel trigger. I am having issues getting any rpm reading. It has a 2nd VR cond circuit installed. All other gauges work except the tach. I have made a harness with just the grounds and CAS hooked up. Made sure both my Pots were adjusted accordingly and found that the outer most pot or the one closest to the edge never makes a "click" when turning counter clockwise like the other does but does click when going clockwise. So I adjusted the one that does click going counter clockwise and used my multi meter to measure resistance between the pins and adjusted the other pot accordingly. I rigged a spare CAS to a bench grinder to spin it and nothing. I got another spare CAS and db37 plug and tried using the boards existing VR circuit with a modded CAS(2 opposing teeth cut) and reconfiged my msq and I get nothing. The previous owner said he had it running and was a member on this board and i found posts from him about it running but has since bought an rx8. The board was built by DIY and is wired according to DIY for the VR circuit. I am using tuner studio and I'm not real familiar with it. So I am wondering if maybe that pot is bad?!?! But if I could get the jimstim to work to simulate the cas then I could be sure its a pot or somthing. Heres my msq if it helpes.

if i remember correctly that you had to have to turn on the tach signal to test for tach signal on the tunerstudio and then turn that option off for when you are done with testing for a tach signal with the jimstim.???
