ms2 v3 jimstim no rpm from hall setup

I am using aaroncake write up for building ms2 v3. I am following the mega manual for putting it together. I loaded coding 2.9.2 and have gotten to the point where I built both the vr and hall signals. I went to test the rpm signal with the jim stim 1.5 and have nothing from the hall side like aaroncake said to do. I have checked my jumpers and removed the d2 and jumpered it to get the signal through like the megamanual says. All of my other signals are up and working great. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to just go ahead and swap my jumpers to the vr side and check that signal before I go any further?
Thank you

The tach signal will need a pull up if the MegaSquirt's tach circuit used does not provide it (such as the V3.0 standard tach circuits). You may apply one using jumpers on the header pins shown in the picture below.

Did i just miss this last night at 1am? Does this apply?
