Muythaibxr, I have a few quick questions if you wouldn't mind answering them. I'd really appreciate it!!
I'm replacing my 460/550 combo for a 550/680 combo. My current req. fuel is 9.6ms. I'm going to set it to 8.0ms, do you agree?
-->While I'm at it, I have to ask, if someone is using, say, a 550/1680 combo, what number should be used in the calculator for finding the req. fuel number? Would it be based upon the 550 primaries? If not, please explain. I know how to use the calculator pretty well, but it's the difference between the primaries and secondaries that has me wondering.
Here is my main q:
I am installing a Mallory Hyfire (basically a MSD 6A) --for the leading coil-- within the next week. Are there any particular settings that I should change, such as dwell, or should I just leave it as is? I am going to use the ignitor wire that originally goes to the coil, for triggering the Mallory.
Lastly, my CAS is "zeroed" at -5 and my cranking advance angle is set to 5 degrees. Should I make any changes? I'm curious because my car has always taken longer to start than it used to back in the day when I had my factory ecu.
I'm just curious about the ignition aspect of it because I wil be re-tuning again after I switch my injectors and install the ignition amplifier.

I must've missed this question before.
The answer is I believe it depends on how you wire the amplifier. Tofuball wired one so that it was between his stock ignitor and the coil, and we didn't have to change anything wired that way.
You may want to switch your cranking advance angle to 0 or even -5, and switch to time-based cranking... I've noticed on my rx7 that if cranking advance is too high, it's more difficult to start the engine.

Oh, and as far as req fuel goes, going to 550 primaries you'll want to lower req fuel... 8.0 sounds right.
Calculating req_fuel should always be done based on primaries. When you use staged injection, you account for the secondary size using the scaling factor (ms1/extra), or by entering the injector sizes (ms2/extra).
