Is yours working. I can't get mine to go with either version of ms2 extra.

So I put my MS1 chip back in, and put the 2nd vr into JS8 and I get clean rpm hand spinning the CAS.

Has anyone noticed this!

I was about to try it today.
Now that you said this, I hope it works......
I imagined that it would work, considering how there is an entire writeup on using the MS-II v3.0 on a rotary application.

Well, I won't know if it works until I know how to set up/program it. All the settings are soo much different from the MS-I that I'm used to. I was only able to "translate" like 10% of what I have programmed into my MS-I into his MS-II.
I did notice however that on my screen, the pulsewidth is stuck at 3.1 and my afr is stuck at 14.7, but the TPS reading works. I'm just hoping that setting it up will go smoothly because my patience has already worn thin from restoring his car up to this point.
BTW, it had MS-II firmware version 2.687(?) installed and I activated version 2.6 in the configurator menu along with the wideband, etc.

OK

The crank sensor is 'on the cam'
You have 24 teeth on the cam
2nd trigger

1st trigger for ign is falling edge assuming you use 'vroutinv' but the manual says not to do that.

2nd trigger is rising edge I believe. That should be enough to see whether you have rpm and spark at the right time.

Heya all.

OK

I tested my msns-extra 029y4 based hr10f again today.

Um. I got my shiney 'newer' unmodified FC cas in my engine, got the 2nd vr input working, ANNNDDD my lumpy idle problem is still there. I richen to the point of smoke and it doesn't clean up. And I lean it to the point of randomly stalling and it still doesn't clean up.

I just setup my MS2 daughterboard with 1.02 code, and I switched my 2nd vr input over from JS8 (for MS1 cpus), to JS4 (for MS2Extra1.xx boards).

MS2 is flashed and ready to test tomorrow. I have a basemap to start of as well which is good. I'm getting very worried that my problem isn't noise and is something much more complicated

I still plan on making my little socket thingies but I want to get this car going nice first so that I know all the stuff works.
