MS Sharing ECU Temp Sensors

Just thought I'd document the values for sharing ECU temp sensors with MS. The numbers I'm seeing with these values seem to be right on the money--however, I haven't actually checked the temps with boiling water or ice baths.

For both sensors, I used averaged values between two readings at different conditions. These sensors are stock S4 T2 equipment. Remember these are just the BIAS resistor values that get plugged into easyTherm (Thanks Roger), you still need the standard temp/ohms table for the RX-7 sensors.

I would say for any particular car, you would need to calculate your own values and just use these as comparison--to see if you're doing it right.

More information about how to set-up sharing ECU sensors can be found at the MegaManual: http://www.megasquirt.info/v22manual/mtabcon.htm

First the Manifold Air Temp:

Volts / KOhms
2.911 / 10.96 ==> Bias resistor ohms = 7865.1
3.899 / 28.19 ==> Bias resistor ohms = 7960.3

MAT Bias resistor ohms used ==> 7913 ohms

Coolant Temp:

Volts / Ohms
0.864 / 575 ==> Bias resistor ohms = 2752.5
1.615 / 1321 ==> Bias resistor ohms = 2768.8

CLT Bias resistor ohms used ==> 2761 ohms
