Not a guru here, but in somewhat the same road and have been researching alot.
Here is some good reading also if you haven't already:
MS Rotary link

So with the V3.0 pcb you will need to build another vr conditioner if you don't want to cut the teeth of the cas. That's what confused me the most, but after reading muythaibxr's explanation and the other faq's a couple of times It cleared it up.

I will be also getting the stimulator.

As I understand it, all those V3 pre built boards are the same, just depends on how good the person who built it does it. I'm planning on getting a pre built one also and that's another reason to get the stimulator.

I emailed that person who sells on Ebay with questions, but I'm not sure if I want to go with that. I might end up just going with one of the vendors that are shown on the ms site for piece of mind. diytune seems to be where I'm headed, they sound reputable, also contribute with the members on the ms site.

No matter where you buy a pre-built unit(with the exception of the ZEMS unit) you will still need to make several modifications in order to control fuel and spark on a rotary. Personally I recommend buying the kit and building the unit yourself. There is a lot of support available and you will learn a lot about your car, electronics, tuning etc. I just purchased my second unit from DIYAutotune it should be here in the next couple of days. The first unit was built and installed in my 86 GXL NA in June. It ran the car through the end of August. I only pulled it because I plan on selling the car (although I have not tried very hard to sell it). The new unit will be built for my 88 T2.
I realize the first unit will do just fine for the T2 but since I have two RX7s I might as well have two Megasquirts....................right?
