Ms on a fd

Has anyone used a megasquirt on a fd yet? I'm purchasing another fd and have a extra one laying around. Any info would be helpful.

Thanks

I helped one guy a long time ago (4 years now?) get an ms1 running on an FD but I never heard anything back after that.

Setting one up should be almost exactly the same as setting it up on a 2nd gen aside from the different ignition output setup (FD mode vs FC mode).

I'm running FD mode on a non-FD; the code works fine. It shouldn't be a problem.

Cool, so really the only difference is the e-shaft position sensor is on the pulley instead of being what looks like a distributor replacement.

The issue we had with that a few years ago was that the 2nd trigger signal was VERY noisy. That could've been the wiring on the car we were installing on, or it could've just been the way things are on that car. In any case, using the 2nd trigger conditioner described in the howto doc Aaron Cake did should work.

I'm just done the usual wiring, shielding and routing practices re noise avoidance. I am experiencing very occasional (~2 minutes at idle) sync loss (Reason 17) for no obvious reason (scopes look great, tooth log seems OK) at <1000 rpm w/ 3.03r but otherwise all seems well. Don't want to t-jack, will PM you or start another thread if necessary. Oh, I'm using a regular CAS, not a crank wheel...

Reason 17 usually means you have 2nd trigger noise.
