megasquirt with wideband 02

I'm asking who's using a megasquirt with a wideband 02 sensor/controller? I am hoping that the innovative LC-1 can be used. I dont just want a wideband display I need to know the a/f ratio and at what RPM that occured. If you have a running megasquit with a wideband I would appreciate your advice. Just trying to make a informed buying decision here,Thanks in advance.

tofuball and I are using a techedge wideband unit with his car.... what do you want to know exactly?

the innovative LC-1 can be used it just requires some software setup... you just have to edit settings.ini in your mtCfg directory and set megatune up to use the lc-1.

Ken,

What is the MS looking for in regard to 0-5V signal?

The LC-1 can be programmed to output just about anything in that signal range.

I spent last weekend installing a new LC-1 and Percy EGT probe. So far I've had no problems with either--except I can tell the stock ECU is running like crap. Hope to be logging the stock ECU data real soon--just gotta finish the daughterboard.

Can't wait to get this car running right.

0v = 10:1 5v = 20:1

I believe that's the curve it expects from an lc1/lm1

Gotta love them boost leaks! Found a cracked vacuum tee and a couple other leaks on the IC hoses.

Note to self: Add that one to your--check every three months--list. Guess these things pop-up over time--I'm positive it was leak checked after I put them on.

Thanks Ken--I put that in the LC-1 and see how it goes.

Muythaibxr,
Im looking to see what a/f ratio occurs at what RPM to help with tuning. I just dont want to buy the LC-1 because its affordable 199.99 and then later find out I need the more expensive unit. Kinda poor right now as I just ordered a megasquirt kit v3 board and v1 chip..that sweet im1815 daughter card and four 720cc injectors last week. Soon as I recover from that I need to order the megasquirt engine cable 65.00 and the tuning cable9.00 and the wideband. 199.99. Ouch. But to finally have stand alone will be soooo worth it! I am tired of my engine not running quite right as well. Thanks again for everyones input,custom13B

you can run the megasquirt using the lc1 in closed-loop with an AFR table... and then use autotune to tune the VE table... It'll pretty much tune itself as far as fuel goes.

muythaibxr,
Thanks again for your input..without your help I may not have tackled this project. I read onthe innovative forum to install a 470 ohm resistor between the LC-1 and the megasquirt 02 input. Also on the pull up resistors do they need to be 1/4 watt or 1/2? I stopped by the local electronics store today and baught 90% of the parts needed to modify to MS for rotary use. Checkin the mail daily here gettin inpatient...lol. Thanks again.

That's news to me. Can you post a link where you saw that.

Thanks for the heads up.

OK,

now I see what everyone is talking about. Check out this thread : http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=12669

Seems like Innovate should just put the resistor in their electronics to protect the product.

In any event, I don't think the resistor will hurt anything and shouldn't change the reading much.

I can't speak to the LC-1, but I've been running a diy-wb setup full-time for a while now. It works very nicely, allowing closed loop operation at higher power settings as well, using an afr target table. It certainly makes tuning much easier as well.

Does it make it easier to tune for WOT with a wideband if I'm eventually going to disconnect it and run open loop?
