ahha ok... yeah the default software version is the standard megasquirt firmware version 3, which won't do ignition on a rotary engine.

There is also v3 hardware, which is detailed in the FAQ sticky.

msns-extra will do HEI, but I'm not sure why you'd want to use it on a rotary... I added support for FD style outputs for leading and trailing too...

Megasquirt supports both... and you can do it with the 2nd gen or 3rd gen CAS...

msns-extra is pretty much the version you'll want to use no matter what you're doing at this point...
