Megasquirt and AI.

So does the MS have full HD AI? I wanna be able to fully tune my water injection and im not sure if the ms can do that.

Anyone care to share some info on this? AI is a must for any turbo rotary in my opinion..

MS3 has support for water injection.

The one place I could find anything about "AI" related to turbo engines was "fuzzy logic boost control."

We have PID closed-loop boost control, which several people are using with no issues.

More information about supported features between the MS variants is here:

What I did was set an air mixing jet. It uses boost pressure to pressurise an alloy tank. It also has an air going to the jet paint spray gun style.

i sourced the boost air from the highest pressure point right at the turbocharger outlet. Sized the jet appropriately for 4000rpm operation, and then switched the water feed to the jet on at the minimum pressure the jet was rated to atomise at 3-5psi or something). You will end up with a higher pressure in the water tank, and a much higher pressure at the air tip.

I then tested the setup with the jet inside the car, at 4000rpm the car was filling with water fog. Full mapping is unnecessary.

Much bigger concern is how you are going to keep the water air and fuel out of your oil. At 18psi I have to leave my oil cap off to control that issue.

having a hard time seeing how a boost pressurized tank is overcoming the same pressure in the intake tract. most people who use that setup have pre-turbo AI as there is no pressure before the compressor to cancel out the ability to push into the intake tract.

best case you're intercooler pressure drop is allowing a few extra PSI to push it past the jet into the intake tract. but a few PSI is hardly enough to do much more than a dribble compared to atomization. most of the real AI kits use close to or higher than 100psi of pressure behind a post turbo jet location.

pre-turbo doesn't have to be as finely distributed, it is basically going through a wood chipper just after entering the turbo anyways so atomization is no huge issue.

You can tune the water injection valve duty using an 8 x 4 table (8 rpm x 4 MAP).

So yes, it's fully tunable.
