i just hooked the lm-1 to car and megasquirt. when megatune is running the afr gauge reading consistantly bounces with the idle lope. afr bounces between 10.0 to 15.00 so megatune gives me a flucuating afr reading but on the lm-1, the afr reading is a steady number,about 10.2 Does the lm-1 average out the afr ? does megatune bounce the afr because its looking at a voltage that is flucuating. or do i have a bad connection somewhere? i noticed that on the datalog the afr kinda matches the lm-1. just lookin for some input.

 

the bouncing is likely from the lm1 not doing averaging on that analog output. You can make it do averaging in the "programmer" software by changing it to 1/12th second instead of "instant" ( I don't remember if those are the exact settings, or where in the software those settings are, as I've only messed with them briefly on tofuball's car).
