Megasquirt leading coil overheats
leading coil overheats
I am running a v3 msII with msextra firmware on an 88 13b.
Car runs great for about 10 minutes the falls flat.
I had to replace the leading coil due to a smoked power resistor in the bottom of the coil. (next to the ignter).
I had noticed the LED driving the leading coil pulses double time if not quad time on crank. (So fast at crank it looks as if the led is on solid.)
I believe this is the reason for the over heating coil. (On and above idle this may as well be a dead short.)
The question is how do I cut this pulse in half in megatune?
What setting may be causing this behaviour?
Thanks

I know that if it were MS1, i'd check the dwell settings to make sure you arent over-charging the coil, and "stim-for-wheel" being on can cause the RPM signal to read much higher than it actually is, thus making it fire more sparks. I dont know the MS2 too well though, and am not sure if these settings would be appropriate for it
