Kurt staging
Guys, I have an MS3 that I'm about to start tuning that has an IDA throttlebody with 4 injectors. It's got the injectors on the 3X plug wired in pairs and I think it would be a prime candidate for Kurt staging but other than it exists, I can't locate any info on how to do it. Any link or info on this would be apprecaited.

Nice to see someone else with a 4 injector IDA throttle body. Thought I was the only one. Well, I have an IDF technically but they are very similar throttle body-wise. I'm running MS2 though and the table based staging works flawlessly.

What event triggers your staging? I think most would stay with the Mazda RPM at 3500 or so but it can be triggered by other stuff. I was considering duty cycle as my 12A might have a bit more injector capability (4-460's) than I really need. I'm still trying to get the sync pulse problem I've got worked out but things are progressing, SLOWLY!

With table-based staging, there is no "event" that triggers it. You have a table where 0% means not staged, 100% means fully staged, and anything in between means partially staged.

Well, I got through the sync problems and I seem to have lucked out on the table based staging and tuning is in process. Thanks for all who have helped until now. Your patience has been greatly appreciated.

Quick update; The car has been running well for about 6 weeks or so and the difference from a carb is great in every way. It runs well cold or hot, I gained 25 HP on the dyno and with a MUCH wider power band, and even runs turning hard in both directions. The turning thing is why I decided to drop the carb in the first place as it's an autocross car. I do still feel like I know way too little to get as good of results as I've gotten but I've learned lots and the results are amazing!!
