knock control?

Has anyone here messed with knock control on their megasquirt/rx7? I haven't seen much on it around here so was just curious. Thanks

I have an MS3 CPU, MS3 PCB and MS3X expander running an FC engine with FD rotors and housings.
I have installed the knock module and have two RX8 knock sensors fixed to the rotor housings.

I have left the default knock settings pretty much as is, I have just activated the safety setting to pull timing aggressively when it crosses threshold (of 50). I am not aware that it has ever activated the safety mode and pulled the timing.

So do the sensor look like they are reading correctly. I have tried with the stock fd sensor and it just read 100 soon as I start the engine. I tried messing with setting and it does nothing I might need to upgrade to rx8 sensors.

The rx8 knock sensors in my setup are giving expected signal levels.

Are you still using the stock FC CAS for rpm? Your rpm signal looks very clean! Maybe it has something to do with the difference between MS2 and MS2, but with nice, properly shielded wire, my RPM signal looks much less smooth, especially in the higher RPM.

Arran, could you post a pic of the settings page for knock? I have also installed 2 rx8 sensors but haven't activated them yet, thanks!

Yes, just the stock FC CAS using MS3, 1 VR on main board, 1 VR on expander. Using the shielded twin core cable form DIYautotune. Grounded inside the DB37 to a ground wire.

I've not altered the stock settings much at all.

Looks like one more thing to add to the list of "to do" things! Interesting how the knock spiked up at that rich spot where the AFR dropped?

could you explain how your sensors are wired. One pin is signal of course but what did you do with the other pin. I can't seem to find if it is a ground or voltage in. Some thing I did find where that is was for the shield part of the wire and is left unconnected at the ecu.
