ok i just finished the h4in build with 2.0 beta firmware. everything seems ok but cant get any rpm readings when i start plugging in the constants for the ignition with the jimstim on. how do i set it up to read everything the right way? i want to make sure that my second vr circuit is working and also everything else before i put it in the car.
ok i dont have d3 there on the jimstim i have dip switch 5 on and primary tach jumpered and it still wont show anything. any other suggestions? please bare with me and be patient im learning as i go. i really do appreciate the help you guys have given me
If you're hooking up to the jimstim, the second trigger must be connected directly to the processor input for 2nd trigger instead of going through the lm1815.
gross polluter: it's a .01uF cap across the G+ and G- connections to the lm1815 circuit. Not in series.

-so the way i described previosly is not the right way?
-ok would it be safe to place the cap before vr2in?
-and also when setting the tach ignition settings should i set it normally for the rx7 or should i use edis when using the jimstim? when i use the toothed wheel setting it wont give rpm. im a little confused on the setup and not sure at which point im doing something wrong

on the Jimstim, you should set it for NipponDenso 24/2
On the MS, you should set it up for 24 tooth cam speed with one second trigger per crank rev, and assuming a stock CAS stab, tooth #1 is at 5 deg BTDC.
If you're trying to use that setup and get a signal from the Jimstim, you'll have to hook the jimstim's 2nd trigger output directly to the MS's 2nd trigger input, and disconnect the lm1815 from the second trigger input temporarily. When you're satisfied that it works, you can reconnect the lm1815 to the 2nd trigger input on the MS chip, and give it a shot in the car with the CAS.

sorry i know i ask stupid questions sometimes but im just a little confused with the settings. i just wanna make sure im doin it right before i wire it into the car. it says in h4in's write up to put the cap. on the second circuit but wasnt sure where to put it exactly. sorry man im new to this but i do thank you for your patience and all your help.

yea i think so. i followed everything exactly the way h4in wrote in his guide as far as the build for the 2.0 firmware. my vr2out goes to js10. now i cant get signal with the ignition settings for the rotary cas (toothed wheel)on the ms and the jimstim dip switch 5 on. but when i switch it back to edis on the ms it works and when i jumper the 2nd trigger tach on the stim to pin 31(G+) the FIidle led flashes when turning the rpm pots.
