Megasquirt injector impedence?
injector impedence?
can't seem to find a specific answer searching.
just wondering if there is a preference between the S5 (high) and S4 (low) impedence injectors using with the megasquirt.
i am going to pick up some 550cc injectors, and both are available to me, S5 and S4.
i currently have 2 S5 injectors, so i figure picking up the other 2 S5 injectors makes sense...unless i need S4 injectors??
thanks

Aaron,
You can run high or low-impedance injectors. If you've got the choice, I'd go with the S5 high impedance units. Low impedance requires either series resistors, or some extra setup/tuning steps to get the pwm settings correct for these specific injectors.
Yes, you can run different sized injectors. The 'Dual Table' code is long gone, and has been merged with MSnSExtra. The Extra code also has injector staging capability, which means tuning via the dual table method is no longer needed. It's much easier to tune with one VE table than two.
