ign1a coils getting very hot

So my coils are getting very hot. I have the latest 3.3.1 firmware with FFE 36- 1 wheel on an MS2 extra V3 board. When I set it up it to spark output going high the LEDs are off until cranking but there is always 5 volts on the signal wire with the key on which makes the coils very hot. When I change spark output to low. The LEDs stay on and the voltage stays low. The car will run with going high but coils are burning hot. Am I missing something here?

Thank you,
Jose

So I scoped out the signal wires to the coils and it is getting a 5V signal on spark going high and low. The only difference was that the coils would fire on the spark going high setting and not on low. With the spark going high setting the power wire from 12v would get very hot and so would the coils. I'm not sure what is going on. It should fire on spark output low but they are not. Is this a firmware issue or coil issue or wiring to the coils?
