I'm a simple man and love a grumpy bumpy pulsing idle however my 12a bridgeport idles as smooth as a kitten purrs, it bums me out. I'd love your expert opinions on what I can do to improve it
Engine is a 12aTD running newer rotating assembly. Bridgeport on both primary and secondary intake ports, three hole twin dizzy housings with the three ports joined. Port timing is:
Intake open 45 BTDC
Intake close 65 ATDC
Exhaust open 78 BBDC
Exhaust close 50 ATDC
Pic attached for reference.....
I think I'm happy that the engine should have sufficient overlap.
Intake is quad ITBs, runners might be a bit fat I dunno if runner volume has an impact here??
I suppose the reason I am asking in this sub-forum is to see if tune has anything to do with it. I've attached a log and .msq of a recent run, the first half you can see is mostly idle. It's running very smooth through that area, with the odd little miss here and there but certianly no real nice pulse. Is there a problem with my tune?
Thanks in advance for everyone who takes a look
